Group Therapy for Schizophrenic Patients

This workshop will consider strategies of treating
schizophrenic patient in group therapy using the leader's
empirically-derived integrative model. A brief literature review,
support from the leader's research, and clinical vignettes and
demonstrations will be utilized. Participants will be encouraged to
share experiences from their own clinical settings.

The attendee will be able to:
Discuss the effectiveness of group therapy for schizophrenic
patients.
Describe clinical strategies for leading such groups.
Conduct such groups in his or her treatment setting.
