Chair:

Raymond J. Koziol Jr. Ph.D, Senior Psychiatry Department Administrator - Clinician, Dean Medical Center, Sun Prairie, WI

Schema focused/lifetrap group therapy is an innovative way to treat patients with longstanding mood disorders and character pathology. Group members receive: 1)a powerful conceptualization for patient problems that defines why they are "stuck" 2)the use of brain research to understand how to develop a new relationship with anxiety which is necessary for change 3)an outline of strategies to change dysfunctional schemas.
