Psychoanalytic Supervision Group

Open to participants with more than ten years of group psychotherapy experience

 

This workshop will provide supervision from a psychoanalytic perspective of participants' own groups. The workshop group members will participate in the supervisory process and the group will be used to illustrate the group process and psychoanalytic technique when applicable.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Apply psychoanalytic principles to the use of group therapy.
2. Identify transference and resistance as it appears in groups.
3. Compare and contrast the use of the dyad and the group in psychoanalytic treatment.
